YOUR PURCHASES AT THE MARKET STAND DIRECTLY SUPPORT THE KPU FARM AND HELP GROW BC’S NEXT GENERATION OF FARMERS.

Farmers markets started as venues to sell farm produce and products, but have evolved into exciting community events. We have created a farmers market with local farm products, music, activities for families and children, and a sense of community that is based first around food.

Junior and Tiny Foodie Passport Program:

Looking for something fun to do with the kids?

Join our Tiny & Junior Foodie Passport Programs! The "work"books feature fun activities to help your child explore Richmond BC's first weekly farmers market and inspire them to get creative while learning all about where their food comes from - and It's FREE. Just stop by the Kid's Activity Centre booth, or the market table and be sure your little one collects a stamp for

every activity page completed.

The passports provide children with engaging activities while at the farmer's market and aim to educate our future generation about our local food. The activities encourage kids to engage with farmers in order to better understand where their food comes from, and inspire healthy food preparation at home. The passport allows kids to track the lessons they have learned, document their experiences with new fruits and vegetables and are available free of charge every Tuesday at the market.

WE’VE RETURNED HOME TO

MINORU PLAZA!

The Kwantlen Farmers Market is a nod to the rich farming and agricultural history of the Richmond area. The local First Nations visited the delta to gather berries, and fish. When settlements started in Richmond the land was prepared for farming, and fishing remained popular. Today, Richmond is a thriving city with significant agricultural and food processing happening in the city.

Gardener's Club

Home gardeners can sell vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers at the Kwantlen Farmers MarkeT.

In lieu of fixed booth fees, the market will collect a 15% donation of total sales, and all fees collected will go toward the KSA Student Food Bank. As a service, the KSA Student Food Bank offers a seven-day supply of emergency food relief for current Kwantlen students. Qualifying students are eligible for two food hampers per month.

As vegetables come into season, gardeners with excess produce are invited to participate in our gardener's club.

To apply to participate in Gardener's Club please fill out our vendor application and select the Gardener's Club check box. Your application will be processed, and we will be in touch to confirm your attendance on your selected dates.
